Bachelor in Business Administration – Technical Management
The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) Online program with a concentration in Technical Management allows students to develop the ability to analyze and solve problems faced by today’s business administrators.
Students pursuing the BBA in Technical Management take the 15 business classes (45 semester hours) that represent the BBA’s curriculum core. The section of courses where students would pursue their concentration is filled with credits from a technical school with which Brewton-Parker College has an agreement of articulation.
NOTE: Through an articulation agreement with Brewton-Parker College, students from West Central Technical College, West Georgia Technical College and Griffin Technical will be able to transfer core courses and several other classes as electives to Brewton-Parker College towards a bachelor’s degree in technical management.

Technical Management major courses
BUS 320 Business Leadership (3 Hours)
The course is designed to introduce leadership theory and practice from a private perspective. Students will study the complexities of business leadership. The various leadership styles will be examined form a Christian and ethical perspective.
BUS 333 Human Resources Management (3 Hours)
Principles and procedures for human resource planning and management, compensation and benefits, employee motivation and discipline, and safety and health requirements.
BUS 335 Production and Operations Management (3 Hours)
Concepts and techniques of operations management: production, inventory, quality control, performance measurement, forecasting methods, planning and scheduling. Prerequisite: BUS 353.
BUS 337 Social and Industrial Relations (3 Hours)
Applications of social psychology theories, methods and research findings to the workplace and a study of the impact of the Industrial Revolution on social, political and economic institutions. Prerequisite: PSY 201 or SOC 201.
BUS 354 Decision Analysis for Business 3 Hours
This course is designed to acquaint students with statistical and other quantitative techniques of analysis. It is required for all business majors. A foundation of statistical mehtods, including selected probability distributions, sampling, estimation, hypothesis testing, and regression analysis, is developed for integration in linear programming, network, forecasting, and queuing models. Prerequisite: BUS 101 and MTH 104.
BUS 357 International Business (3 Hours)
Analysis of international business environments (culture, politics, and economics) and the conduct of traditional business functions. Prerequisite: BUS 222 and two of BUS 100, BUS 321, and BUS 331.
BUS 377 Project Management (3 Hours)
Highlights solutions to business challenges in the context of the modern business environment. Examines new technologies, data management, data mining concepts, decision support systems, project management goals, and modern techniques of management. Prerequisite: BUS 331.
BUS 431 Organizational Behavior (3 Hours)
A study of human behavior in organizations, with an emphasis on such topics as motivation, leadership, job satisfaction, and group dynamics. Prerequisite; PSY 201 or SOC 201.
BUS 435 Entrepreneurship (3 Hours)
A study of the procedures and requirements for initiating and managing a new business venture. Prerequisite: BUS 331.
